Diedrick will now take on Slovakian fan favourite Robert Pukac, with the bout elevated to the co-main event slot at the 10,000-capacity Tipos Arena on November 9.
It’s a higher-profile matchup against a local hero, but while the difficulty level may have increased, so has the potential upside, with Diedrick knowing that a big win over the 31-fight veteran will propel him towards the division’s top contenders as he looks to move into contention in 2025.
As you’d expect from a fighter with the moniker, “The King of Violence,” Diedrick has taken a positive approach to his change in assignment, and plans to use the new showcase as a chance to make a statement.
“The opponent has changed, but the mission stays the same,” he said.
“The gameplan is to go out there and be as violent and vicious as I can possibly be.”
