Andy Ruiz Jr has reportedly agreed for his rematch with Anthony Joshua.
Joshua and Eddie Hearn announced details of the highly-anticipated rematch earlier, but Ruiz Jr was unhappy with contract terms and insisted he was not fighting in Saudi Arabia.
The Mexican boxer had agreed to receive around £8million from the fight with his team using the threat of refusing to fight in Saudi Arabia in their favour.
But now there has been a breakthrough in talks and Ruiz Jr has finally decided in principle to bout Joshua in Saudi Arabia on December 7, six months after Joshua lost his unbeaten record and world heavyweight titles. According to the reports, Ruiz agreed to new terms after the deal was revised and will now receive ‘millions more’.
