BAMMA 35 in collaboration with RDX Sports will be making this year’s debut appearance on Irish soil on Saturday, May 12. The event has been in the limelight and will be aired in UK and Europe via 4Fite, ITV and Unilad. Previously, BAMMA has hosted six showdowns in 3arena, creating monumental fights in European MMA. This time around the promotion promises to live up to its legacy as it comes with fight cards loaded with diverse talents.
Main Card Fight – RDX Ambassador Alex Lohore To Take On Ion Pascu
The welterweight fight between Alex “Da Kid” Lohore v Romanian Ion Pascu is the main card event for the show. In a festival of fury, former welterweight champion (14 – 2) will be taking on Pascu (17- 8) in an attempt to reclaim his lost glory. The brawl would be Lohore’s first appearance after his loss at the welterweight title; an accolade that he is all set to contend for.
The bout is going to be a challenging one, as both fighters can opt to go to distance. Lohore has previously gone distance only 3 times in his career, and a victory can win him a slot to reclaiming his lost glory. Both fighters are dreaded for their lethal moves in the BAMMA realm; however RDX hopes that its proud ambassador satiates his quench for the coup.
Other Highlights
The second main event of the night, home fighter Kiefer Crosbie is all set to continue his winning streak when taking on English rival Josh Plant. Both fighters haven’t tried distance strategy in their professional career thus far.
Another artist ready to create history is English Fabian Edwards, who too has his eyes set on BAMMA belt. Fabian has had an untainted career up till now, going distance in all his four bouts. For him to add one more win under his belt, he has to trounce Italian Claudio Conti in his premiere BAMMA performance. 27-year-old Italian is currently being trained by John Kavanagh at SBG Ireland and is quite eager to earn a shot for title by bagging a win against Edwards.
