The stars of Bellator Champions Series: London hit the scale earlier today at the official weigh-ins ahead of Saturday night’s fights at the OVO Arena, Wembley, then they faced off for the final time at the ceremonial weigh-ins.
The four-fight main card is topped by a battle for the number-one contender spot in the women’s featherweight division, as Northern Ireland’s Leah McCourt takes on undefeated Australian contender Sara Collins, and both women successfully made weight for their non-title matchup, with McCourt coming in at 145.9 pounds, and Collins registering a marginally lighter weight, at 145.8 pounds.
Preceding that headline matchup is a pair of 205-pound clashes that feature rising English light heavyweight stars.
Simeon Powell made it all the way to the final of the inaugural PFL Europe light heavyweight season, while his Great Britain Top Team partner Luke Trainer has been climbing the ranks under the Bellator banner. Now they’ll share a fight card as they both look to pick up career-enhancing victories on home soil. Powell (205.9) will take on German-based Brazilian Rafael Xavier (204.6), while Trainer (204.2) faces Lithuanian Laurynas Urbonavicius (205).
The main card will kick off with a battle between two fighters who are very familiar to longtime UK MMA fans, as Bellator lightweight veteran Tim Wilde (155.3) welcomes former UFC lightweight Marc Diakiese (155.7) to the PFL/Bellator roster.
The action streams live on DAZN in the UK, and you can check out the full list of official weights below.
