The two men set for action in the main event made sure their title clash was official as they both successfully made championship weight ahead of their title fight in Tenerife.
Reigning super welterweight champion Kamal Magomedov made weight with such ease that, at 77.1kg, he could even have been official for a title bout at welterweight, while Cado used more of the 79.4 kg allowance, coming in at 79.1kg.
It means their championship bout for Saturday night is now officially confirmed, with their title tussle topping a stacked card of matchups in Tenerife.
Everybody else on the card also made weight without issue. The co-main event will see Spanish star Jose Sanchez take on Ireland’s Richie Smullen, with the former Bellator veteran looking to make an impact on his BRAVE CF debut.
Other notable promotional debutants on the card include Dutch bantamweight submission specialist Daan Duijs, who will look to add to his impressive 10-2 resume when the former Cage Warriors contender takes on Abdelmoumen Mssaate, while former kickboxing world champion and ex-Bellator featherweight Ilias Boulaid will look to make an immediate impact on his BRAVE CF debut when he takes on Swiss veteran Anthony Riggio.
The card will also feature BRAVE CF rising star Gerard Burns. The Irishman has already shown his mettle in the promotion’s flyweight division, but this weekend will move up to bantamweight as he bids to establish his championship credentials in two weight classes. He takes on Brazilian opposition in the form of Santiago Paiva.
