One of the biggest stars from BRAVE Combat Federation returned to the promotion to headline their final event of the year, and brought the curtain down on the year with a second-round TKO finish.
Mohammad “The Latest” Fahreddine hadn’t fought inside the BRAVE CF cage since his light-heavyweight championship-winning finish of Mohamed Said Maalem at BRAVE CF 57 back in March 2022. But on Sunday night at the Khalifa Sports City Arena in Isa Town, Bahrain, Fakhreddine returned and made an immediate impact in his comeback bout.
The 40-year-old stopped Abdel Rahmane Driai with strikes mid-way through the second round of their 190-pound catchweight main event matchup to claim the 17th win of his MMA career, and put himself right back in the championship mix once again.
And Fakhreddine ensured that he left no doubts over his intentions as he used his post-fight interview to state his plan to face light heavyweight champion Erko Jun in 2025.
In the co-main event, Pakistani lightweight contender Rizwan Ali needed less than half a round to stop India’s Srikant Sehar with punches and extend his undefeated professional record to 9-0. Sehar, meanwhile, announced his retirement from the sport following his defeat as he bowed out of professional MMA competition with a career record of 7-9.
In the night’s other Pakistan vs. India matchups, Pakistan’s Babar Ali and Ismail Khan claimed shutout victories over their Indian opponents, with both men claiming 30-27 scores from each of the three cageside judges to earn unanimous decision victories and secure a 3-0 win for Pakistan over India on the night.
