The fighters set for action at Cage Warriors 182 in San Diego took to the scale at the official weigh-ins at Sycuan Casino Resort on Thursday.
Main eventers Damon Wilson and Ryan Lilley are scheduled to battle it out in the featherweight division, and both athletes made weight without issue, with Wilson tipping the scale at 145.1 pounds, while Lilley arrived at 145 pounds.
Welterweight Anthony Orozco’s planned 170-pound matchup against Dominico Salas was bumped up to a 182-pound catchweight after Salas could only register an official weight of 181.6 pounds. Orozco, meanwhile, came in at 176 pounds for the catchweight contest.
Another bout needed to be redesignated as a catchweight bout, with the proposed lightweight contest between Luis Fernando Medina and David Morales being switched to a 162-pound catchweight bout. Medina came in at 161.2 pounds for the bout, while Morales came in lighter, at 158 pounds.
The main card lost a fight, after Teddy Stringer’s opponent, Darren Smith Jr. no-showed at the fighter hotel and promotion officials were unable to establish contact with him. It means Stringer has suffered back to back fight cancellations after his prior opponent for Cage Warriors 180, Shaun Fraser, was forced off that fight card due to illness.
