War of words between Derek Chisora and Anthony Joshua has begun for the vacant European heavyweight title, both of the British fighters are expected to face each other for the belt this year.
Chisora (25-5, 17 KOs) who is the mandatory challenger for the European crown, believes AJ lacks experience at the highest level so it gives him a great advantage over the 6 ft 6 in boxer. Del Boy’s promoter is currently in talks with AJ’s team to finalize the bout for the vacant title.
When asked a question about Joshua, would he put Joshua against him in the ring, he said: “No I would not. The guy is still learning the trade and the craft. He said it himself after fighting Dillian Whyte that he still has loads to learn. He’s right.” while talking to Sky Sports.
He further said that Joshua knows himself that he needs to learn much more in this trade. He also believes that even if he beats Joshua, it would mean nothing because people would say that he just beat a novice and that won’t make him a top contender the world title shot.
Chisora still believes that it is a great fight on paper and people want to see it as well. The 32-year-old boxer fought three times in five weeks and winning all of them convincingly. His last defeat came at the hands of the current world heavyweight champion, Tyson Fury in 2014, in which Fury stopped him in the 10th round.
