ONE Championship has added another stellar contest to ONE 170: Tawanchai vs. Superbon II on Friday, January 24.
Two rising stars in Freddie Haggerty and Jordan Estupinan will collide in what promises to be a fascinating strawweight Muay Thai contest inside Bangkok, Thailand’s Impact Arena.
The younger brother of ONE bantamweight kickboxing world champion Jonathan Haggerty, Freddie has lived up to his renowned surname since joining ONE earlier this year.
The 20-year-old demolished Dankalong Sor Dechapan in his debut in January at ONE Friday Fights 49, and he followed that up with a crushing finish of Kaichon Sor Yingcharoenkarnchang in July.
Haggerty then capped off his 2024 with a third consecutive stoppage over durable veteran Kaoklai Chor Hapayak at ONE Friday Fights 91 earlier this month.
That win convinced the ONE higher-ups to promote the rising star to the promotion’s main roster, where he’ll debut at ONE 170.
Interestingly, his opponent at the thrilling show will also be following in some impressive footsteps.
Jordan Estupinan is the younger brother of Johan Estupinan, who has taken the world’s largest martial arts organization by storm over the last 12 months.
The Colombian sensation has amassed four wins over since May, and he’ll be competing alongside his debuting sibling at ONE 170 next month.
If Jordan’s style comes anywhere close to replicating Johan’s, fans can expect a firefight to ensue when he goes up against Haggerty next month.
