The fight card for GLORY 96 on October 12 now has a world title bout as its co-main event.
The main event in Rotterdam will see Chico Kwasi put his welterweight title on the line as he takes on lightweight champion Tyjani Beztani in a champion-versus-champion matchup.
And now a second championship clash has been added to the card, with the news that GLORY middleweight champion Donovan Wisse will look to defend his crown against Germany’s Sergej Braun at the RTM Stage.
Wisse is rated as one of the top pound-for-pound kickboxers in the world. With a career record of 21-1 with 10 KOs to his name, Wisse can draw level with former two-division champion and current UFC light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira for the most championship defences in GLORY middleweight history, with five.
Looking to stop his run is Braun, who sits at the No. 2 spot in the middleweight rankings, and heads into the title fight with victories over Mo Touchassie, Michael Boapeah, and the only man to defeat Wisse, Ertugrul Bayrak.
Braun will make the walk for his 59th professional fight looking to capture middleweight gold and ensure that fight number 60 will be as a GLORY world champion.
