It’s a rerun of their title clash at Bellator 299 in Dublin, Ireland, where Eblen stopped Edwards with strikes early in the third round of their main event matchup at the 3Arena last September.
Since then, both men have fought, and won, to set up a title rematch, with Eblen once again crossing the Atlantic to put his title on the line.
Eblen’s last outing came in the PFL Champions vs. Bellator Champions event in Saudi Arabia in February, where he survived a tricky test in the form of 2023 PFL light heavyweight champion Impa Kasanganay to claim a split-decision victory as he retained his title and kept his unbeaten record intact by the slimmest of margins in Riyadh.
One month later, Edwards returned to action at the Bellator Champions Series event in Belfast, Northern Ireland, where he outpointed Aaron Jeffery with a dominant display over three rounds in their non-title matchup.
Now Eblen and Edwards are collision course once again, and will meet in London on September 14 with the Bellator title on the line.
The event will mark the eighth time the Bellator cage has landed in the English capital, with London being the second most-visited European location for the brand, behind Dublin, which has hosted 10 Bellator events over the years.
News of more additions to the fight card for London will follow in due course.
