RDX Sports is delighted to announce three-time Bellator Champion Michael Chandler as its new brand ambassador.
Michael Chandler is an American Mixed Martial Artist. He fights in the lightweight division of Bellator MMA. He began his career with Strikeforce where he quickly made a name for himself before moving on to Bellator Fighting Championships in 2010. Since then, he has claimed the Bellator Lightweight belt three times, and is the current Bellator Lightweight Champion.
In recent news, Michael Chandler reclaimed the lightweight title from Brent Primus at Bellator 212 on Dec 14. He is the first three-time champion in Bellator history.
The event took place at the Neal S. Blaisdell Center in Honolulu, Hawaii, and aired on Paramount and DAZN following prelims on MMAjunkie.
Chandler’s experience and ability to control the match paid off. All three judges scored the match in his favour. This allowed Chandler to reclaim the lightweight title for a third time. Chandler is now, arguably, the most accomplished fighter in Bellator MMA history.
The first person to claim a three-time championship is three-time UFC Heavyweight Champion Randy Couture, who is another great RDX Sports ambassador.
Michael Chandler was also the winner of the Bellator Season Four: Lightweight Tournament. He holds notable victories over former UFC Lightweight Champions Benson Henderson and Eddie Alvarez.
