The biggest rematch in women’s boxing history will take place on November 15 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, as pound-for-pound greats Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano prepare to face off for the second time.
The pair will do battle for Taylor’s undisputed super lightweight world championship at the home of NFL’s Dallas Cowboys in the co-main event of the Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson fight card.
The bout, which will be contested over 10 two-minute rounds, will see the two women’s boxing icons face off again, with Puerto Rico’s Serrano looking to even the score against her Irish nemesis following Taylor’s split-decision victory in their first meeting at Madison Square Garden, New York back in 2022.
Since then, Serrano has won five in a row, including four defences of her featherweight titles, to build some real momentum ahead of her eagerly-anticipated rematch.
Taylor, meanwhile, retained her lightweight titles with a unanimous decision win over Karen Carabajal in London before losing her light welterweight titles to Chantelle Cameron in Dublin last May. But, in a rousing return to form, Taylor claimed a hard-earned majority decision victory over Cameron in the rematch to win back her light welterweight titles once gain.
Now Taylor and Serrano are all set to renew their rivalry in Texas as they do battle for the undisputed lightweight title, and ahead of the bout, Netflix has released the official trailer for the matchup. Check it out via the video player above.
