The full 12-bout lineup was made official ahead of Oktagon 61 as 23 of the 24 fighters scheduled to compete at Winning Group Arena on Saturday night successfully hit their contracted weights ahead of fight night in Brno, Czech Republic.
The main event will feature a Tipsport Gamechanger semi-final bout, and saw the only weight miss of the morning weigh-in session, as Spanish contender Acoidan Duque tried twice to make 70.8kg for his lightweight bout with champ Ronald Paradeiser. But, after missing at 71.9kg on his first attempt and being given two hours to lose the additional weight, he could only manage 71.75kg on his second attempt. As a result Duque received a fine from the promotion, but the tournament matchup will go ahead, as scheduled.
The other tournament semi-final saw no such issues on the scale, as former lightweight champions Losene Keita (70.4) and Mateusz Legeirski (70.7) both arrived inside the limit for their final four matchup.
The rest of the card all weighed in without any issue, with only tournament reserve fighter Agy Sardari needing additional time to make weight. “Wolverine” used the additional time to ensure he made weight, and his tournament reserve bout with Attila Korkmaz was made official as a result.
The event also sees the Oktagon return of UFC vet Makhmud Muradov, who takes on former KSW middleweight champion Scott Askham, while another former UFC athlete, Czech Republic’s Lucie Pudilova will face off against IMMAF standout and world silver medallist Cecilie Bolander.
