The fighters are weighed in and ready for fight night in Munich ahead of OKTAGON 64.
The fight card set for the brand new SAP Garden arena features two championship bouts, with a grudge rematch for the OKTAGON heavyweight title in the main event of the evening.
Hatef Moeil claimed the vacant heavyweight championship with a hotly disputed decision win over Bulgaria’s Lazar Todev at OKTAGON 49 back in November 2023, and Todev has been determined to claim the rematch, and win the title he felt he deserved after the first bout.
The pair took to the scale, with Germany’s Moeil coming in at 262 pounds, while the smaller Todev arrived at 238 pounds.
Their clash should end the night with a bang after packed lineup of bouts. Topping the list of supporting contests is a battle for the vacant OKTAGON welterweight title, with returning former champion Kaik Brito looking to reclaim the belt he never lost inside the cage when he faces Moldovan finisher Ion Surdu.
Both men had no trouble making championship weight for the contest, with Brito coming in two pounds under the 170-pound limit, while Surdu hit 170 on the nose to confirm his eligibility to leave the SAP Garden with championship gold around his waist.
Also set for action in Munich is fast-rising undefeated German star Max Holzer, who returns to action against compatriot Eugen Black-Dell, while former light heavyweight title challenger Alexander Poppeck will look to strengthen his credentials for another run at the title when he faces 29-fight Polish veteran Mateusz Strzelczyk.
They, along with everyone else on the card, successfully made weight, as the 10-fight lineup was confirmed for Saturday night.
