Rising bantamweight contender Patrick Mix is waiting on a new opponent after Dominic Mazzotta was forced out of their fight scheduled for Bellator 232 on October 26.
Bellator officials confirmed to media that their search is under process to find Mix a new opponent. Dominic Mazzotta (15-3) has been forced to withdraw from his scheduled fight due to a knee injury.
The unbeaten New Yorker has been one of the brightest young prospects to join the Bellator roster and he made an impression in his debut. Mix (11-0) extended his undefeated record with a submission win against Ricky Bandejas in his Bellator debut at Bellator 222 in June. He has seven of his pro wins via decision and competed in Ohio as an amateur, topping Collin Kaplowitz via decision at Caged Madness 35 in 2015.
Bellator 232 takes place on Oct. 26 at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn. The event will be headlined by the Bellator Welterweight World Grand Prix Final, a rematch between current 170-pound champion Rory MacDonald and former champion Douglas Lima.
