Post-UFC 241 Fight Line-up

After a series of thrilling fights in UFC 241 on Saturday, there are various match-ups anticipated for upcoming UFC 242 starting September 7th.

Winner: Stipe Miocic

Francis Ngannou has won three consecutive matches and has turned the tables after the first two losses at the start of his career. This happened during UFC 220 and it was considered a bad start of his fights in UFC. He is now set to face off in an anticipated trilogy fight against Miocic in September.

Winner: Nate Diaz

Diaz stated his interest in fighting against another fan-favorite ‘gangster’ “I think Jorge Masvidal, besides me, is the best at the game at it and I thought Pettis was also”. Masvidal on the other hand, is confirmed not to get the title shot or a fight against Conor McGregor. Diaz is also working his way up, but it will take a lot more than the big win to get the title shot. As a fan-favorite, Diaz only targets the upper tier popular contenders and manages to beat them, gaining the same level of appeal. Currently, Masvidal has gained enough popularity to be targeted by most fighters.

Winner: Paulo Costa

Costa’s fight depends on the winner of Israel Adesanya and Robert Whittaker. Assuming the win against Yoel Romero, Costa will move to 4th or 5th on UFC’s official rankings. The next fight is anticipated to the title fight against Jack Hermansson. It is anticipated to be included in the main card fights within UFC 242 (September).

Note: Above discussed dates and events are liable to change based on UFC President Dana White’s decision on match-ups.
