The mens and women’s flyweight divisions take centre stage as the UFC heads to Edmonton, Canada for a UFC Fight Night event on Saturday night, and all four of the featured flyweights successfully made weight ahead of the event.
Former UFC flyweight champion Brandon Moreno takes on Amir Albazi in the main event, and both men hit identical weights on the scale, with the duo both registering official weights of 125.5 pounds.
The co-main will also feature a former champion, as former strawweight champion Rose Namajunas takes on rising star Erin Blanchfield in a huge bout for the women’s 125-pound class. Blanchfield arrived on the scale half a pound heavier than Namajunas, coming in at 125.5 pounds compared to “Thug” Rose’s 125 pounds.
Elsewhere on the card, longtime heavyweight contender Derrick Lewis came in right on the maximum allowable weight for a heavyweight fight, at 266 pounds, for his bout with Jhonata Diniz, who arrived nine pounds lighter, at 257 pounds.
There were no slip-ups on the scale, with all 28 fighters hitting their contracted marks to ensure the full 14-fight lineup remains intact.
