The fight card for the 100th Las Vegas UFC Fight Night event is now official after the fighters completed their weigh-in obligations on Friday ahead of Saturday’s event.
The main headline from the event was the loss of the bout between Ricky Turcios and Benardo Sopaj after a medical issue on Turcios’ side. That bout has been removed from the card, meaning the final lineup will consist of 11 fights.
Topping the bill is a welterweight bout between perennial 170-pound contender Neil Magny and rising Brazilian contender Carlos Prates. Both men made weight with no problems, with Magny tipping the scale at 171 pounds, while Prates came in half a pound lighter, at 170.5.
The co-main event will see veteran UFC middleweight Gerald Meerschaert welcome former two-division ONE world champion Reinier de Ridder to the UFC, and both men hit 185 pounds on the nose for their featured matchup.
Both women set for action in the women’s strawweight clash on the main card also made weight without issue, as Luana Pinheiro weighed in at 115.5 pounds, while opponent Gillian Robertson came in on the non-title limit, at 116 pounds.
There were two weight misses further down the card, with UFC newcomer Zach Scroggin unable to make the non-title limit of 171 pounds for his welterweight debut against Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos. He came in three pounds over, at 174 pounds, for the bout. He will surrender 20 percent of his purse to his opponent and the bout will go on as scheduled.
The same resolution will also apply to Melissa Mullins after she missed the non-title bantamweight limit for her bout with Klaudia Sygula. Mullins came in one pound over the limit, at 137 pounds, and will also give up 20 percent of her fight purse to Sygula. The fight will remain on the card.
