The Octagon returns to the UFC APEX on Saturday night for a UFC Fight Night event that will help propel one fringe strawweight contender towards a possible title eliminator clash, as Brazilian rivals Amanda Lemos and Virna Jandiroba go head to head in a pivotal bout at 115 pounds.
Ahead of fight night in Sin City, the pair, along with the rest of the fighters on the UFC Vegas 94 fight card, took to the scale at the official morning weigh-ins as they registered their official weights before tomorrow’s fight night.
Both main eventers made weight without issue, with Lemos tipping the scale at the non-title limit of 116 pounds, while Jandiroba came in half a pound lighter, at 115.5.
The co-main event will now see Steve Garcia take on SeungWoo Choi at featherweight, and they had no trouble making weight, with Garcia (144.5) half a pound lighter than Choi’s 145 pounds.
The rest of the fighters on the card made weight, though the originally-booked co-main event bout between Junyong Park and Brad Tavares was removed from the card after Park was forced to withdraw due to an undisclosed medical issue.
