Women are the targets or sexism or disrespect for centuries, be it work or home, the way women dress, the way they work, the way they walk or have certain priorities, everything from head to toe is scrutinized by the world. These days, we hear a lot of chatter on social media about how great the revolution is and how the world has accepted that women ARE capable of doing practically everything a man does. But the recognition part still needs to become mainstream to remove gender inequality and disrespect. We have countless amazing women in the world fighting for what they believe in and that is what gives every women hope. These women create a path for women across the globe to become stronger, fierce and headstrong about their opinions.

Women in sports was considered a rumor because the common misconception was, “women aren’t actually interested in sports”. We see that now all major and famous sports have fantastic women winning titles and championships and prove that they are just as strong as men. Sometimes, even more than men!

Despite all challenges, women are rising up and they are making a name for themselves while creating sports history. They know to be determined and how to reach their goal. Several women who don’t fit into obsolete ideals of femininity and masculinity will struggle for recognition and battle unfair criticism and cruelty. Still, others will be praised for their physical beauty but never truly respected for the effort and number of training hours they’ve put into their sport and the accomplishments that result from that work.
