Briton fighter Dillian Whyte (24-23-1) is hot to trot into an adrenaline booster bout with New Zealander Joseph Parker (25-24-1) in O2 Arena in London on July 28, 2018. The fight will be aired live by Sky Sports Box Office, as two will be facing off in heavyweight division in hopes for a spot in world title re-match against current boxing champion Anthony Joshua.

30-year-old Jamaican born considers Parker as the most worthy opponent after his bitter rival Anthony Joshua. While Whyte is ready to make a statement appearance in the upcoming fixture, Lupesoliai La’auli is adamant to put a stoppage to the Briton earlier than AJ in their previous fiery encounter in 2015. The two heavyweight beasts got defeated at hands of the reigning heavyweight champ, marking it as their only disgrace in their otherwise flawless careers. A win for any of these two fighters will lead the way to the ring in a rematch against AJ and a few steps away from the chance of grabbing the world title.

The bout has created a frenzy amongst boxing enthusiasts with O2 arena fully sold out. The digital world is on a roller-coaster ride as sports aficionados tweet, post and comment on the potential of the two fighters and the possible outcome of the fight.

Background

Here is a sneak peek at the fights of these two players against Anthony Joshua.

Dillian Whyte vs. Anthony Joshua

Whyte and Joshua locked horns in 2015, where AJ put a stoppage to the Briton in 7th round, inflicting a single loss in his career thus far. Whyte received an unforgiving punch that sent him sprawling on the ropes of the ring, as Joshua continued his stride on the red carpet. The bout was dubbed as the most exhilarating and emotional challenge for Whyte; apparently what the Britain’s 2012 Champion needed to raise up his bar. After the fight defeated Briton had the following to say:

“It was like a fight on the cobbles.”

Joseph Parker vs. Anthony Joshua

On the other hand, the bout between Parker and Joshua led to the latter’s victory based on a unanimous decision. Not only did the New Zealander manage to survive the fight, he also made Joshua go distance; a stunt that has only happened once in Joshua’s pro career.

Despite Joshua’s ascent to heavyweight greatness, the gameplay appeared more like a war strategy rather than the real battle. 90{317a7769e272dec17b69bda26c6a5a4c5e6799efcd8a85f72cb552b76862c2b9} of the fight was played on distance and whenever the two fighters would engage in any hardcore action, the referee would step in ceasing the fervor amongst the audience. Though the dexterity of the two was fine-tuned, it was the way the fight was managed that caused the critics to raise their eye-brows.

The brawl led Joshua to unify four titles; however, there were some serious questions about his ability in the fight against Parker.

Upcoming Fight

As Parker managed to give AJ some challenging time in the ring, he is eager to trounce upon Whyte’s dreams of nearing the chance of winning the world title. The New Zealander is quite determined to seal the deal by defeating his counterpart even earlier than Joshua managed to do so. According to Parker,

“What’s AJ, seven, right? I’m going to knock him out earlier and I’m going to say, ‘And what AJ? And what?’ I think if I knock him out earlier, it will send a statement.”
