UFC Fight Night heads to South America this Saturday night for its debut event in Chile. Fight Night 129’s event is geared to catch up all the excitement as it will be featuring many local as well as international artists at Movistar Arena. The main card event would be a welterweight bout between Nigerian-American Kamaru Usman (12-1 MMA, 19-8 UFC) and Brazilian Demian Maia (25-8 MMA, 19-8 UFC).

Kamaru Usman was to face Santiago Ponzinibbio initially; however, the latter dropped off owing to an injury.

Former title challenger, Maia is in his best form after prepping up for a short-notice fight with one of the best welterweight powerhouse in UFC. His exceptional Jiu Jitsu skills, consistent striking and phenomenal grappling make him an eye candy for MMA fans. Locking horns with him would be Kamaru Usman known for his sudden manoeuvres and a rock solid body. Though Usman has improved his striking skills, his niche is still wrestling where it takes no time for him to pin his opponents on the canvas. Since his crossover to UFC, 31-year-old artist has still not lost with a 7-0 record. Maia is quite capable of pinning Usman to the ground early in the fight. However, with some solid skills, Usman would be capable of closing distance snatching his victory from jaws of defeat.
