This Saturday, social media Karateka sensation Samuel Ericsson will return to the Combat Pit to face Algerian fighter Tarek Khelifi. Th fight will be taking place at Karate Combat 37 on Saturday, December 17th, live from the Backlot of Universal Studios Florida in Orlando.

The Call Out For KC37

Samuel Ericsson made his debut at Karate Combat on the 29th of July, 2021. He found himself facing Alberto Ramirez from Venezuela as his opponent. Although it was a tough match for Samuel, with a significant height disadvantage he found himself with the victory. The judges could have easily gone either way with their decision, so much so they requested a “Sudden Victory” extra round to determine who was ahead in points.

Samuel Ericsson is a Freestyle Karate stylist who is known for his powerful and explosive striking. He has gone viral and is a bonafide Social Media Influencer due to his striking videos. Among his 650,000+ followers on Instagram are MMA Icons like Joe Rogan and Conor McGregor. Before signing with Karate Combat, he trained in Taekwondo from the age of 7 and later became a Professional Mixed Martial Artist on the regional European scene. Now he’s looking to make a name for himself in the Combat Pit.

His current opponent Tarek Khelifi is a Shotokan stylist. Tarek will be trying to put an end to all the social media attention and hype around Samuel in his debut match. Khelifi has trained in Karate from a very young age and has accordingly earned many medals over the years for his immaculate skills. Now, the Algerian has gone to some of the best trainers to help him achieve Karate Combat Gold, including Karate Combat fighter Davy Dona.

His call-out video made an extremely strong case for the fight to which Samuel accepted the challenge.
