It is now confirmed that Leslie Smith (11-7-1) and Arlene Blencowe (12-7) will fight on the main card of Bellator 233 on Nov. 8 at WinStar World Casino in Thackerville, Okla.
The 37-year-old, seven-time UFC veteran, Smith enters the competition on a three-fight winning streak. “The Peacemaker” made a successful promotional debut by defeating Sinead Kavanagh via majority decision at Bellator 224 on July 12.
The 36-year-old Blencowe has won five of her last six bouts, with her only defeat during that time coming via split decision against current champion Julia Budd at Bellator 189. “Angerfist” has won two in a row since that defeat, scoring technical knockout victories over Amber Leibrock and Amanda Bell.
The Bellator featherweight title is next expected to be contested on Jan. 25, 2020, when defending champion Julia Budd will face ex-UFC, Strikeforce, and Invicta FC champion Cris Cyborg.
