Why Do You Need MMA Mats?

You are not loving the idea of digging a hole in your pocket but still require this item on urgent basis. Don’t worry as you have landed on the right place.

We hope you have already made your tennis ball cap for effective training for your MMA punches.

Now you can learn to make your very own MMA mats without stepping outside of your home or breaking your bank.

Things You Need

Here are the things that you need to keep handy when you begin the mat making process;

  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • 24 oz. Vinyl
  • PVC Foam Padding (1-inch thick)

What to Do Next?

Now that you have everything you need at an arm’s length. You can begin.

Here is the detailed step-by-step procedure to guide you through this tutorial;

Step#1

Use scissors to cut a squared-shape piece of 12’ x 12’ from your PVC foam padding sheets. If there is some sort of storage issue, divide this piece further into four equal parts. This way, you will be able to place them in the form of stacks, one over the other.

Step#2

Take the vinyl sheet and place your PVC piece/pieces on the top of it. You must cover your PVC foam padded sheets from both top and bottom for added protection.

Step#3

Place your glue on the top of the foam square.

Step#4

Now carefully take the vinyl piece and place it on the glued side of the foam square. Don’t forget to smooth out any wrinkles for an uneven padded mat.

Step#5

Leave it for 24 hours to let it dry completely.

Step#6

Now flip the mat and apply glue to the foam square again.

Step#7

Take your other piece of vinyl and place it on this glued side of the foam square.

Step#8

Repeat the step#5 for the final product.

Yes, it’s that simple.

Once you are done you will have your very own homemade MMA mats.

Now you are ready to rumble. Don’t forget to test out the mats yourself before you invite anyone else to train with you.

You don’t have to by those expensive mats. Make your own and start your MMA training right away!
