Ben Askren and Jorge Masvidal will square off in Las Vegas’ T -Mobile Arena on July 6. The welterweight contenders will lock horns for the title, adding yet another stellar matchup to the UFC 239 card.

Coming off massive wins, Askren and Masvidal look to continue their climb at UFC 239.

Ever since One Champion traded the unbeaten former Olympian Ben Askren, he has created an impact in the Octagon. In his first appearance, Askren submitted former world champion Robbie Lawler in the first round on March 16.

Ben Askren will face another standout veteran, Jorge Masvidal, this summer. Masvidal picked up Fight and Performance of the Night bonuses on March 16 for his second-round knockout of Darren Till.

Askren is very active on social media. He has been vocal about every newsworthy issue in MMA since his debut last year.

Both fighters have won their last bouts. Ben Askren bested Robbie Lawler via controversial submission at UFC 235 while Masvidal knocked out Till in London.

The event is going to be be held at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas where Jon Jones will defend his light heavyweight title against Thiago Santos. Amanda Nunes and Holly Holm are also scheduled to fight for the women’s bantamweight title.

It’s hard not to think that the winner of this fight will be up for a title opportunity.
