Bellator MMA is set to stage at Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Missouri for the highly anticipated Bellator 138. All the fights of the event are worth watching, but it is the heavyweight fight between the ex-wrestling professional Bobby Lashely and MMA fighter Dan Charles that’s causing heads to turn.
Lashley joined Bellator MMA in 2014 and has achieved two consecutive victories. For his third fight, he was expecting to lock horns with James Thompson;one of the two men who has defeated him in his MMA career. Although, Lashley was very eager for a rematch, Lady Luck had other plans.
Thompson got injured and the dream of a rematch was shattered. Thompson withdrew from the event only a week before the fight and the Bellator management had to look for an immediate replacement to fight “The Dominator.”
Dan Charles was chosen as the alternate opponent and now the two are going to have a face-off on 19th June at Bellator 138 in the heavyweight category. For Dan Charles, who carries a 9-2 career record, this is going to be the biggest fight of his career.
Lashley is the tipped as hot-favourite for the upcoming fight but only time can tell if Lady Luck will favour Lashley this time round.
