Holm and McGregor, both are going to have a fight at UFC 197 which is happening on March 5 in Las Vegas.
The two great mixed martial artists who made history in their previous fights are going to appear in the octagon under the same fighting card this year on March 5 at UFC 197. The event is going to take place in Las Vegas and the names of the two expert MMA fighters who are gonna fight are Conor ‘Notorious’ McGregor, the Irish fighter, and the American MMA sensation Holly Holm.
Both the fighters had one of the biggest fights of their careers in which they surprised the world and stood victorious. McGregor fought against the former champ Jose Aldo and knocked him out in just 13 seconds after the fight began. McGregor now holds the UFC featherweight title.
On the other hand, Holm had a fight against the former champion and one of the greatest fighters in the history of MMA, Ronda Rousey. Holm shocked the fans by kicking Rousey on her head and knocking her out with a few punches afterwards. Holm now holds the UFC women’s bantamweight championship.
The upcoming bouts of the fighters have not been confirmed yet. However, McGregor is going to face Rafael dos Anjos, the lightweight champion whereas Holm is going to have a faceoff with Miesha Tate.
Talking about McGregor, the UFC president Dana White said, “Conor has said that he would like to win the 155-pound belt and fight four times a year and defend both belts. If anybody can do it, Conor McGregor can. This guy has pretty well done everything he said he would do. I’m interested.” While talking about Holm, White said, “Holly Holm will fight before she fights Ronda.”
