The fight will witness two indomitable artists beef up for a lightweight affair. Undefeated Khabib Nurmagomedov will be looking to seal his first defense against former lightweight and featherweight champion Conor McGregor.

The Russian Dagestani will be appearing in the octagon with a clean pro record thus far. In a career that revolves around 26 pro fights, out of which there are 10 UFC appearances, the Eagle hasn’t faced defeat yet. He rose to lightweight summit after defeating Al Iaquinta for a vacant title. The belt was relinquished by former champ Conor McGregor owning to his inactivity and infamous attitude outside the cage.

Conor McGregor along with several other fighters showed unexpectedly on April 5 on Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn causing a lot of disturbance in the loading area. The Notorious did not shy away from shooting a dolly at UFC bus that was carrying many artists including Nurmagomedov, Borg and Chiesa. Though his bitter rival remained unharmed, Borg and Chiesa were badly injured.

McGregor faced several charges, which put a stoppage to his fighting career. However, he recently entered a plea deal with the state of New York, helping him get clearance from court.
