Though Conor McGregor’s plea earned him a respectable exit from the court, he still needs to settle his score with his arch-rival Khabib Nurmagomedov. As the Irish has finally managed to escape some serious felony charges and a jeopardized fighting career, he is ready to land his next showdown. And there is no one in MMA’s realm that can match McGregor’s influence and caliber other than The Eagle.

Following his notorious behaviour just a day earlier of UFC 223, the former two-division champ struck a UFC bus full of artists with an appliance dolly. The mirror of the bus came shattering down injuring Borg and Chiesa while Nurmagomedov remained unharmed. This incident led him to relinquish his lightweight and feather belts, costing him a legal battle that got him arrested on account of 12 criminal offenses and two felonies.

This Thursday, a hearing at the court favorably ended with McGregor’s to serve only 5 days of community service as part of the plea deal. The Notorious is also to attend anger-management classes and compensate the bus company for their loss.

Following his settlement in the court, McGregor is eager to make a jaw-dropping return to the octagon after his last appearance in UFC 205 in 2016. His comeback fight would mean a lot, as it would truly define his potential and improve his image that has been severed particularly in the past year.

As the reigning undefeated champ awaits McGregor inside the cage, no official statement has been passed by UFC. Both players have been hinting on a head-on encounter and with McGregor free from his legal issues, he is set to put records straight for those who question his caliber.

The Dagestan Eagle is quite revealed that Conor didn’t end up in jail. This is what he had to say about the recent development,

“Glad that he stayed out of jail, because I wouldn’t be able to punish him in that case. Now he needs to bring his Irish team to (Madison Square Garden) in November and finish our business.”

The undefeated Russian fighter soon took to Instagram after hearing the news of his successful plea deal, challenging his bitter rival.

Though the future of the most anticipated encounter looms in the air, it is highly probable that the two powerhouses will engage in a festival of rage on Oct 6 at UFC 229. Despite the tentative date, fans of both fighters have started counting days to this larger-than-life event.
