Muhammad Ali, who has been battling Parkinson’s disease for three decades, which started three years after his last fight against Trevor Berbick in 1981, has been hospitalized with mild pneumonia and was being treated by doctors. According to Ali’s spokesman Bob Gunnell, Ali is in a stable condition and the former heavyweight champion’s health has “vastly improved”.
Gunnell did not disclose many details about his illness, although he said the 72-year-old Champion would likely soon be discharged from hospital.

Ali who is considered by many as a “Magic Man” for his positive attitude towards the sports, his skills that exceeded everyone elses and his incredible speed and agility to avoid punches. There is a good chance we will never see anyone like him ever again, possibly Muhammad Ali is the world’s greatest athlete of all times. Winning several legendry boxing matches, of which the most famous was the first Sonny Liston fight, three with hard hitting competitor Joe Frazier, and one with the strongest man in Boxing George Foreman, the fight in which Ali regained titles he had lost seven years earlier.
Muhammad Ali’s greatness is not just restricted to his sports, he was a man who stood for religious freedom, became a major cause of discussion in the civil rights movement, his refusal to go into the service and turning down a fight in Vietnam turned him into a global icon. His name will always be written in to the history books, truly an amazing fighter in every aspect of the sport and life.
