UFC never fails to amuse its fans. So do its stars, often with savage feats within the cage, sometimes with off-cage startling manoeuvres and occasional fiery bickering on social media platforms.
Recently, there has been some unpleasant exchanges between Stockton native Nate Diaz and UFC’s official announcer Bruce Buffer. The two engaged in some serious wordplay with Buffer retreating his stance, when Diaz openly confronted him about his appalling comments. Now with Buffer’s backtrack, Diaz has also ended the conversation on positive notes. This is what happened.
News surfaced about Bruce Buffer suggesting to 33-year-old artist that he should be bowing down every time he sees UFC President Dana White rather than complaining. The “voice of octagon” went on to add that he was making big money from UFC to which he should be thankful. This is what the 61-year-old announcer said,
“Nate, I heard you made 7 or more million dollars in your last fight. I don’t want to hear you complaining about being under promoted by the UFC. You should be thanking the UFC and bowing to Dana White every time you see him.”
Buffer only pointed towards Nate Diaz making millions from UFC. The veteran voice didn’t consider the fact that UFC too was making millions by having a contender like Diaz to fight for them.
The inappropriate comments didn’t sit well with the Stockton native as he was quick to respond to Buffer. In a fiery tweet, Nate Diaz made it clear to UFC’s announcer that he wasn’t the one who was going to “bow down,” money or no money.

Nate Diaz’s and MMA fans also responded negatively to Buffer’s comments. There was sudden backlash from MMA community along with the vivid message from the fighter. This supposedly mounted too much pressure on Bruce, as he decided to backtrack from what he had said earlier.
In response to Nate Diaz, this is what Buffer said,

Though it is apparent that Buffer has backpedalled, Diaz seems to welcome it. American artist responded in a Tweet by saying,

33-year-old fighter is scheduled to make a cage appearance against Dustin Poirier as part of UFC 230 in November. The artist last fought inside the cage in 2016 against McGregor, a fight which is dubbed as the highest grossing pay-per-view fight.
Diaz amassed a sum of $2,000,000 from this fight.
