The octagon was on fire last night when two Massively Middleweight beasts walked in, with their promising body language they were sure to live up to the hype.

The 15 minute contest set a high paced opening round for both contenders that had the audience glued to the octagon.

Costa, maintaining his usual style: smart pressure. The middle weight Brazilian fighter kept his guard advanced and head high, not giving Romero any chance to grab any opportunity, picking them all himself and slamming home kicks to the mid section at the right time. Costa’s body work this time was very impressive and accurate for the fight.

Romero has always been seen as a terror to his past opponents, Costa broke the tradition and his unafraid “Aura” made him counter the wild side of Romero.

Amidst all the cheer and blood, Romera did not take it easy too. He allowed the first round to escape him and watched Costa’s footwork and waste energy. In the second round, Romero turned the game up and started to land his own off-beat straights and even a take down. Making his mark on in the final minutes of the second round.

After a fight this close, the decision was awarded to Costa. We’re still confused if the decision was right but the fans are really happy with it as the promise fulfilled.
