UFC 216 is just a day away and for MMA and UFC fans it is like Christmas came early. Tony Ferguson vs Kevin Lee and Demetrious Johnson vs Ray Borg are the co-main events. The venue is the T Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, which has seen its fair share of huge fighting events in the past few months.

UFC 216 as big as it gets for MMA world.

UFC 216 – The co-main event Fighters

When it was announced, the main event for UFC 216 was Ferguson vs Lee.

The fight will have very large future implications and could possibly involve a matchup with the UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor.

But that still remains in doubt because ‘Notorious’ hasn’t made his plans clear.

He may opt to fight Nate Diaz instead of the winner of Ferguson vs Lee because that would be a more lucrative fight.

Ferguson vs Lee

Ferguson and Lee are focused on each other and the interim lightweight championship that is on the line on Saturday night.

Ferguson is a creative fighter that moves around the ring and has a formless style of fighting.

He uses his D’arce choke effectively and seemingly from any position he wants.

Kevin Lee utilizes his ground game and keeps control of his opponent at all times.

He is a fan of the rear naked choke and with his wrestling abilities, he can get into position to use that choke on his opponents.

Johnson vs Borg

Demetrious Johnson is as complete a fighter as you will ever see in MMA. Many believe that he should be the headlining the event.

There is no technical flaw in his fighting abilities. He is just as great in the grappling game as he is in the punching and kicking one.

His fight IQ is superior to most fighters in the MMA, no wonder he is the number 1 pound-for-pound fighter in the sport.

Ray Borg took a lot of heat when he pulled out of the last event against DJ. But he is back and he is bringing a heart of a true fighter to the mix.

He will need every ounce of skill and will to go against Johnson and pull out a possible win.

These are the fighters that you can look forward to competing.

Stock up on popcorn and clear your schedule for Saturday night because you don’t want to miss UFC 216.
