This would be Randamie’s second fight against Nunes. Randamie lost to Nunes in Dec 2013 before either of them had won a belt. Since then, Randamie has nailed off five straight wins, including the inaugural featherweight belt, but was stripped off it later for refusing to fight Cyborg.
On the other hand, we all know that Nunes is undefeatable and remains the best after beating nearly every woman who has ever held the featherweight (de Randamie, Cyborg), bantamweight (Rousey, Holm, Miesha Tate) and flyweight (Shevchenko twice, but at bantamweight) titles except for inaugural flyweight title holder Nicco Montaño.
The date and place have been set, let’s see who takes it this time, although we’re anticipating Nunes will defend her title this time as well but following Randamie’s statement, looks like the 35-year old Dutch MMA fighter is not coming slow either, she’s prepared and looking forward to the fight too.
The fighter loves travelling and expressed he in a statement, “I’ve heard the UFC is going to New Zealand. I love traveling and I want to go to New Zealand. So let’s fight a fight before (the bantamweight championship) and when Amanda’s ready, I’m ready.”
