On December 13th the Bolton-born Boxing superstar and RDX Sports brand ambassador Amir Khan will officially be wearing the world’s most expensive shorts, worth an estimated £30,000 for a fight against Devon Alexander for the WBC Silver welterweight title at the MGM Grand, Las Vegas.

The famous British boxer nicknamed “King Khan”, re-tweeted photos of the trunks that he will wear on the fightnight to face Devon Alexander.

The shorts are made with 24 carat gold woven waist band and genuine gold tiger print lining.

Sophie Whittam, a fashion designer with 10 years’ experience, is behind the company Fight Label which has designed the shorts, she said:

“We worked closely with Amir’s team. For around four to six weeks we’ve been working on designs and colors and obviously Amir and his family had a little bit of input, but at the end of the day it’s what we think is going to look best. It is a very involved process. “I think it’s possibly the most expensive shorts ever made” – Via BBC
