Anthony Joshua got some interesting news this week. The opponent that he has been preparing to fight for the past couple of months or so will no longer be available to fight him on Oct 28. Instead, he will be facing another opponent, Carlos Takam, whom Joshua referred to as ‘block of cement’.

Tougher Fight for Anthony Joshua

Joshua vs Takam is now set for Oct 28 at Principality Stadium in Cardiff.

The French boxer is as tough as they come in the heavyweight boxing. He is known for his aggressive style of fighting and the ability to absorb hard punches.

He likes to walk forward and take space away from his opponents.

AJ, likes to maneuver and likes to back off the opponent while he operates. He is improving his inside game and he should do it as quickly as possible because Oct 28 is not that far away.

Block of Cement

Joshua’s punching power is no joke.

He has a 100{317a7769e272dec17b69bda26c6a5a4c5e6799efcd8a85f72cb552b76862c2b9} knockout rate. His stunning knockout of Wladimir Klitschko in the 11th of their showdown shows the raw power.

But he has called Takam’s head a block of cement, which shows the respect he has for the French boxer.

The question on everyone’s mind is ‘which will Joshua knock Takam out in’?

According to sources, Joshua believes that this fight could go all the way. If a knockout does come, it will happen in the later rounds, 10-12.

One thing is for sure, AJ can’t afford to lose a match at this stage of his career. It would stick with him for the rest of his life.

Inside game, body shots, quicker foot movement or whatever else it takes for him to beat Takam, he should find a way.

The Principality Stadium will be filled with thousands of people. The match will be highly entertaining because of the talent inside the ring.

Predicting who will come out on top got much more difficult thanks to this last minute change. But Joshua still remains a smart bet.
