In recent weeks, there were a lot of rumors floating around a Conor McGregor-Donald Cerrone match up. Those same whispers said the names of Daniel Cormier and Brock Lesnar. Dana White set everyone straight on both issues.
White hinted at Conor McGregor’s return. He also said that Conor has a lot of money that might play a factor. However, he also suggested that if Conor were to stay out of trouble, it would be incredible.
He also touched upon the Diaz brothers and Brock Lesnar. While talking about Cormier and Lesnar, Dana White said,
“I think both guys really want it, Cormier wants it bad.
“I know Cormier wants it bad, and Brock wants it bad. So, when two fighters want to fight each other as bad as these two do, I think it’s going to happen.”
Brock Lesnar will next defend his title at WrestleMania on April 7 and after that he could face Cormier in a UFC match.
He said,
“Brock Lesnar is doing his thing with WWE.
“One of the things about Brock Lesnar is, when that guy is ready to fight, he is not shy. He will call me and he will let me know.
“To be honest with you, I’m hoping to hear from that guy this summer.”
UFC president Dana White says Brock Lesnar wants to fight Daniel Cormier. Furthermore, he said that the bout could take place sooner rather than later.
Lesnar currently holds the WWE Universal champion title while Cormier is the UFC heavyweight champion. A match between the pair under mixed martial arts rules has been discussed for some time.
A fight between the two would be fitting, considering the teaser we saw at UFC 226 in July. Lesnar showed up and pushed Cormier after he won his fight with Stipe Miocic to become the new UFC heavyweight champion.
