Deontay Wilder (32-0, 32 KOs) the Alabama native who won the bronze medal at the Olympics, and an undefeated heavyweight knockout king will face Bermane Stiverne(24-1-1, 21 KOs) in a great clash for the WBC Heavyweight Championship of the world, scheduled for January 17th at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

Stiverne is the first Haitian Heavyweight Champion, who has beaten Chris Arreola twice. Arreola in his last fight was able to surprise Stiverne in the early rounds but Stiverne came back very strong and won the belt by a sixth round technical knockout, in fact Stiverne was the first man to knock Arreola out.For Wilder, this sure is the toughest test of his career.

Bermane Stiverne and Deontay Wilder are both explosive and powerful punchers. The only difficultly Stiverne will have is his height and shorter arm length compared to Wilder. Wilder is a 6’7 tall gargantuan known for his devastating knockout power, but there are still questions about his chin and his stamina due to his quick knockout wins and not reaching latter rounds with other fighters.

Stiverne said: “Don’t blink on January 17. I am the heavyweight champion of the world and nobody is going to beat me. I’m excited and I’m looking forward to making a statement. Talk is cheap. I do my talking in the ring” via Skysports

“This is going to be a knockout. I predict a second round knockout but I guarantee that it’s not going past four,” Deontay said via RingTV.com.

Will Wilder put Stiverne on a permanent vacation or will Stiverne retain the heavyweight title! It is now just a matter of time until we find out, what are your predictions?!
