A welterweight bout between Ed Ruth and Jason Jackson is the new addition to Bellator 231.
Former Penn State wrestler Ruth (7-1) and LFA welterweight champion Jackson (10-3) will meet each other on the main event on October 25 at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut, confirmed by the media.
Ruth, 28, fought at Bellator 224 this past July, when he defeated former UFC fighter Kiichi Kunimoto by second-round TKO.
Jackson, a Legacy Fighting Alliance standout is currently on a three-fight win streak. He defeated Jordan Larson at Bellator 204 in August 2018 and picked up two wins with LFA after that. Jackson, also 28, got a chance to appear on the debut season of Dana White’s Contender Series, but his UFC audition suffered due to his ankle injury.
