Francisco Trinaldo has officially announced the date and opponent set for his first fight as a welterweight in the UFC.
The UFC fighter will face Muslim Salikhov at the upcoming UFC Fight Night 191 on June 5. Trinaldo (26-7) had a 4-1 record in his past five UFC bouts, with his only loss being a controversial decision to Alexander Hernandez. “Massaranduba” is coming off a three-fight winning streak against Bobby Green, John Makdessi and Jai Herbert.
Salikhov (17-2) was undefeated in his last four UFC bouts, making a splashing come back from his UFC debut defeat to Alex Garcia.
The 36-year-old mma fighter had fights cancelled against Claudio Silva and Santiago Ponzinibbio, respectively, this past October and January.
The fight between the Trinaldo and Salikhov has gained a lot of attention since both are undefeated and the match could setup the winner for the next big thing.
