The win was a big break for the former UFC heavyweight titleholder Frank Mir, who has been unable to win any of his bout in the last four years. His challenger Silva was also without a triumph in the ring for the past three years. Critics are considering the fight a one-sided affair because of Mir’s superbly impressive boxing ability and the fact that Silva didn’t get to do much in the ring.
Without a doubt Mir has rejuvenated his career in the UFC, once again proving himself to be one of the best heavyweight champions in UFC. His submission abilities and passion for boxing dominated his fighting style in the ring once again. Meanwhile, Silva’s stamina and strength strategy appeared to be worn out.
Mir is now expected to be on hunt for another title shot. He will face intense competition and stay on his toes during the preparation of the finale. Now let’s see who his next opponent will be and whether it is a worthier contender than Silva.
