GSP, as he is popularly known as, is the former UFC welterweight champion. He was once considered to be one of the best pound for pound fighter in the UFC.

The Comeback

Some personal concerns regarding the UFC, and other reasons, made St. Pierre decide to leave UFC and the sport of MMA behind, in Dec of 2013.

He was still the champion at the time and the record for most wins in title fights. He voluntarily vacated the title of welterweight and took a hiatus from the sport.

He never said that he was retiring, so there was always the hope that he was going to make a comeback.

After getting an ACL surgery, there was no talk of his return as it’s seemed unlikely after the medical procedure.

At the start of 2017 the rumors of his return cropped up again and it was finally revealed that Dana White has successfully negotiated GSP’s return to the UFC.

For this fight, his goal must be to gain muscle mass so he can compete with Michael Bisping on all levels.

The diet above is suitable for people who are training for an upcoming fight where they have to gain weight.
