Jorge Masvidal has gained enough popularity to be ranked as one of the best MMA fighters in UFC.
The fighter has established himself enough to be targeted by Nate Diaz who only focuses the best. After being called out by Diaz on his victory against lightweight champion Anthony Pettis, Masvidal accepted the bout. Masvidal was regarded as ‘Gamebred’ who put on a big smile on the camera after being called out post UFC 241. Both fighters are fan-favorites, making this one of the most anticipated fights of 2019.
After being called out, camera is seen focusing on Masvidal who smiles to the challenge. In an interview with MMA Junkie, Masvidal elaborates “As a fan, who doesn’t want to see that fight”. He clarifies that there is no need for many press conferences, both fighters know how to establish their popularity through the octagon. Masvidal recognizes Diaz’s potential by beating Conor McGregor twice “Not a lot of people got that”. The interview further discussed how Masvidal is ready to put a title fight to the side just to face Diaz. Fans are still waiting for UFC President Dana White to confirm and fix the date. White has already issued a statement “No progress” regarding the two fighting teams.
