Post UFC 241 press conference, Nate Diaz confirmed his interest in fighting Jorge Masvidal.

Diaz called for a showdown against the ‘Gamebred’ during his post-fight interview. Masvidal accepted the challenge and recognized Diaz’s potential as a fan-favorite fighter. Masvidal then stated with confidence “I’m ready to put it on the line”. The contender also proposed a date of the event and explained that negotiation is currently underway. In another interview, Masvidal elaborated on his respect for Diaz that the fighter is very tenacious. The fighter is renowned to continue despite his injuries and still manages to win by the end. According to Masvidal, Diaz is the type of fighter that “You can hit that dude with a baseball bat, he’s going to keep coming”.

UFC President Dana White commented that there is currently no progress between the two teams negotiating. White also added that “Who doesn’t want to see that fight”. Masvidal prefers a bout in December according to his proposal but it is currently unclear. The fans expect the anticipated event to happen during UFC 245 on December 14 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Amanda Nunes against top fighter Germaine de Randamie is also a fan-favorite in the same event. Fans are currently waiting for White to fix the dates between Diaz and Masvidal.
