The fight was the second longest of AJ’s career.

Takam was knocked down in the 4th round. But he got his legs under him and kept fighting.

He made several attempts rock the champion and gain advantage. In the 8th round he got some clean hits but they weren’t enough to bother AJ.

When the fight got to the 10th round, Takam had suffered a lot of punishment from Joshua but he was still standing.

When AJ caught him on the head and shook him, which opened Takam up for more hits.

This is when the referee stepped in and called it a night.

Carlos Takam is of the opinion that the fight was stopped too early. He is even protesting the decision of the fight and asking Joshua for a rematch.
