The longest title reigning artist in UFC, Anderson Silva believes that Khabib has it what it takes to rule the octagon. According to the Brazilian artist, Conor lands on a spot just behind the current lightweight champion.

While speaking during an interview, this is what the Spider had to say,

“Khabib is a great fighter. I’m very impressed. Conor is a great fighter. Having a new generation of fighters, especially in the UFC… this is a huge company that’s worked for a long time to get the great fighters in the sport. I think Khabib is the best, here, in this moment.”

Such an approval from the top league of MMA fighters is quite an achievement. Silva’s opinion just before the Russian’s biggest fight can certainly act as a propellant for the undefeated lightweight champion.

Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor are scheduled to step into the octagon on October 6, 2018 in T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The adrenaline booster fight would serve as headliner event for UFC 229. Conor McGregor would be stepping into the cage after relinquishing both his belts. He remained absent from the octagon’s limelight for about two years. Though Mysterious Mac made an appearance in the boxing ring facing undefeated Floyd Mayweather; however, the former failed to subdue the boxing’s best, as he suffered a 10th-round TKO loss. On the other hand, Khabib would marking his presence as the reigning lightweight champion after defeating Al Iaquinta in April this year. The Dagestan native has clean record so far that revolves around 26 fights.

The former middleweight champion was unable to compete in UFC, since Anti-Doping Agency United States suspended him owing to indigestion of a tainted supplement. Silva is eligible to make a cage appearance in October this year.
