Khabib Nurmagomedov has been headlining the news after his honorable win against former two-division champion Conor McGregor while defending his lightweight accolade on Oct 5, at T-Mobile Arena.  The win has notched up his resume to an impressive 27-0 making him an undefeated champion in MMA. Though post-fight mayhem has caused some turbulences for the Dagestan native, sidelining him from the octagon for some time, he is looking to get the same amount of attention with a Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Floyd Mayweather.

The 30-year-old Russian artist skillfully defended his lightweight belt against Irish challenger Conor McGregor earlier this month as part of headliner event for UFC 229. Khabib remained very dominant throughout the fight, dispatching a fourth-round defeat via neck crank submission to his bitter rival McGregor. Despite his toiled victory, it was the post-fight melee that caught the most attention. Right after submitting McGregor, the current champion scaled off the octagon to attack his opponent’s teammate Dillon Danis. Khabib’s two teammates barged up to McGregor to exchange some blows with the defeated Notorious. Though there is an ongoing debate as to whom triggered the fight, an ugly scuffle right after a spectacular event turned the whole night sour.

As a result of the post-fight brawl, Russian couldn’t take his purse back home. Nevada Athletic Commission has dispatched a suspension to both fighters until the incident is fully investigated.

However, the Russian is not looking to compromise on his winning streak and fame, as the Dagestan native has challenged boxing’s undefeated champion Floyd Mayweather to face him off inside a boxing ring.

This isn’t the first time a mixed martial artist is looking for a crossover into the realm of boxing. Last year, McGregor made his debut appearance inside the boxing ring against Floyd Mayweather and was handed over defeat by the latter in the 10th round.

Despite his loss, McGregor’s fame after the fight shot up, bringing in hefty amount of cash.

Yesterday, Mayweather’s CEO Leonard Ellerbe posted a video on Instagram. In the video, the Russian star challenged Floyd to square off with him on the canvas. According to the 30-year-old fighter,

“Let’s go Floyd. We have to fight now: 50-0 versus 27-0. We are two guys who never lose. [But] in the jungle there is only one king. Of course, I am the king because he cannot drop McGregor but I drop him easily. Let’s go.”

Last year, the lopsided match between McGregor and Mayweather brought in a lot of financial benefits for the Irishman. Money seemed to be playing around with McGregor in the first rounds until he finally dispatched defeat to his opponent in the 10th round, improving his flawless record to an astounding 50-0.

Mayweather hasn’t competed since after defeating the Irishman. However, recently there have been news of Money making a comeback with a rematch against Manny Pacquio.
