A bantamweight division attraction has been recently added to UFC Fight Night Tampa and it is going to be Marlon Vera against Andre Ewell.
Vera, (14-5-1), is looking forward to extending his winning streak to five. In his last fight at UFC 239 in July, he defeated UFC newcomer Nohelin Hernandez by second-round rear-naked choke. Before the victory over Hernandez, Vera smashed Frankie Saenz, Guido Cannetti, and Wuliji Buren.
Vera, 26 hasn’t been beaten in nearly two years, with his last loss coming to Douglas Silva De Andrade at UFC Fight Night Belem. Vera has suffered five losses as a professional MMA fighter and all of them came by way of decision.
Former CES champion Ewell (15-5-0) has won two of three under the UFC banner, with those wins coming over the duo of Renan Barao and Anderson Dos Santos. Ewell has suffered a single defeat in UFC competition when he lost to Nathaniel Wood at UFC 232. Ewell, 31 returned to form when he defeated Anderson Dos Santos in June. He has picked up fifteen wins as a professional MMA fighter and seven of them came by way of KO/TKO.
UFC Fight Night Tampa takes place on Saturday, October 12 from the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida.
